Come to see Henry Schniewind and Mark Jones present Backcountry Smarter - The Essentials. The talk lasts 90 minutes with a short time for questions.
This will give you really useful points to apply on snow.
Equipment – Understanding the right ski, boot & binding combinations for you (plus essential safety gear)
Technique – Control, line choice, and efficient skiing off-piste
Risk Management – Smarter decision-making, reducing risk & being prepared for rescue
In the Essentials we set out the principles of the toolkit and the method.
Mark will show you how an output focused approach to improving ski technique will help you develop confidence and control
Henry shows  how the ACCIDENT REDUCTION FRAMEWORK works and how you can use this to make going off piste just as safe as driving to the resort. We will also supply you with the Pocket Guide which reminds you how to apply this. (Normal retail £10). This will be supplied at the event.
This is a risk management formula that will help you to see how skiing off-piste can be no more dangerous than the activities that you engage in each day.
The price includes The Safety is Freedom pocket guide (retail price £10) which explains how to apply the ACCIDENT REDUCTION FRAMEWORK. This will be provided at the event.
You will also receive a copy of Henry's new SAFETY RESCUE card. This explains the most important steps you must take in the event of an avalanche accident.
